Wonder what is going on with the lockers. I feel like in the past lockers have always been available as soon as tickets go on sale. I hope everything is alright with Lou the Locker Guy.

Bump for 2022.

I'm not sure if Locker Lou is still involved, but it appears for 2022 that the Coachella festival staff is handling locker reservations themselves, and advance locker rentals can only be purchased now as a add-on through Elevate Tickets according to the current Coachella website locker page: https://www.coachella.com/lockers. The old lockersonline.com webiste hasn't been updated since 2019.

Lockers of the same three sizes offered in the past can be reserved:

• Medium for $55 (18"x15"x18')
• Large for $65 (24"x15"x18")
• Extra-large for $80 (24"x18"x21")

According to the Coachella FAQ page, all locks will now be keyless; and scannable mobile-phone tickets will be sent via email prior to the festival. Included in the rental price is a $10 deposit for a combo lock that is refunded as cash by the staff after returning it at the end of the festival. No paperwork will be involved anymore. As usual, there will be a clothing-change tent next to the lockers.

Honestly I stopped renting lockers after 2013 or so. My friend insisted on trekking back to the lockers and he took for-fucking-ever and I think we missed New Order as a result. After that I realized it's not always convenient for me to go back to the lockers. I just carry everything I need on me for the day. Thankfully I tend to deal with cold weather well so I don't have to carry a big jacket around.

I have found the lockers to be convenient even if it is a bit of a schlep. With the expansion and reconfiguration of the grounds, it's now much easier to get over to their location near the entrance without having to dodge the Coachella stage traffic. I have usually walked to and from the festival grounds in an old pair of sneakers and stashed them in the locker while I spent the day wearing flip flops. I've also used the locker to store a hoodie or long-sleeve T to change into at night if it gets cool. Additionally, I've stored a few other things in it like sunscreen and merch that I purchased.
