Head scratching, denial, or just greed. I say greed.

Even with all the social distancing and shelter-in-place restrictions being applied internationally now to mitigate the spread of the virus, a coalition of European music festivals have released this head-scratching statement:

Ruh-roh. Two people who attended the spring edition of San Diego's CRSSD Festival a couple of weekends ago have tested positive for having COVID-19 coronavirus. The individuals supposedly got infected beforehand but were asymptomatic at the time. All attendees have been informed of the situation directly by the organizers.

I know that scenicworld went to the festival. I hope she remains virus-free.

Now the Trumpster...you know the one who originally said the whole coronavirus crisis was a hoax and has led a totally discombobulated Federally-coordination national response...urged everyone in a news conference today to avoid gatherings of 10 or more people, avoid discretionary travel, and stop going to bars, restaurants, and food courts for the next 15 days. Of course this has a lot of credibility coming from the "stable genius."

Yeah, the CDC has just recommended that there shouldn't be any gatherings of more than 50 people for the next 8 weeks nationally in order to slow down the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus. This pretty much affects most of the live entertainment industry, restaurants, many bars and pubs, theaters, conferences, spectator and several participatory sports, political rallies, parades, and big events through May 15. Schools, workplaces, and businesses would be exempt, but many are already altering routines with things such as telework, distance learning, and social distancing. State and local officials are also shutting down public schools anywhere from a few weeks to a few months. You can pretty much now write off any music festival or concert tour in the U.S. through mid-May. This is going to have an enormous impact on people's livelihoods and many economic sectors.

Washington is joining several other states and municipalities enacting restrictions on businesses and locations where people gather. Also, several Las Vegas casinos and hotels announced they are shutting down. Unreal.

Thoughts and prayers!
