After being together as a band since 1983 with the exception of a few-year hiatus in the mid-00's and 11 studio albums of ska-punk, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones have called it quits. The band released this statement on Facebook:

I got to see them perform once at a radio station one-day music festival several years back. It was a lot of fun.
After decades of brotherhood, touring the world and making great records together, we have decided to no longer continue on as a band.
