This is happening starting today. Hey scenicworld and ocbruin84...have a blast out there! Let us know how the scaled-back lineup, single-stage thing goes.

BTW, I caught Crumb's set at III Points last month. I enjoyed it despite some sound problems that were plaguing the stage on which they were performing. Be sure to check them out on Sunday.

Desert Daze was great. it felt wonderful to be back at the lake. attendance was light, but it was still a comfortable crowd back to the soundboard. sunday was the most crowded and even then it was still very comfortable. I never waited in a line more than a couple people for anything and getting in was a breeze! the weather was perfect and it really didn't get really cold until after midnight.

just about every act I saw was my favorite set, but if I had to choose a top 5 they would be:

      Kikagoku Moyo
      Yves Tumor
      Kamasi Washington
      Budos Band
      War on Drugs

even though I've made it to a few shows and a festival, coming back to Desert Daze felt more like a homecoming than any other event. I'm sure I'll feel similar when I get back to coachella, but Daze is quickly replacing coachella as home for me.

That's sounds like a great experience for sure! It looks like the weather behaved too.

I have yet to see the first four acts you listed live, but I loved the WOD's headlining set at Shaky Knees a few years back and of course saw them at Coachella in 2015. They're great musicians!

definitely check them out if you get a chance. especially Kikagoku Moyo and Yves Tumor.

TWOD played most of the new album so it was cool being the first to hear it live since this was their only show of 2021.
