The 2023 edition of ACL Festival will be taking place October 6-8 (Weekend 1) and October 13-15 (Weekend 2) once again at Zilker Park in Austin, TX. The lineup has been released. Most of the headliners are meh to bleh. They have the triple whammy of being Mumforded, Lumineered, and Hozed. Ouch! As usual, there are some decent acts among those in the undercard section of the poster, and there are some playing one weekend but not the other. It appears though they are going in a less pop oriented direction than the past couple of iterations.
3-day passes are on sale later today, Wednesday, May 9, at noon CDT for the general public. They are already available for AMEX card holders. Prices are $335 GA, $705 GA+, and $1755 VIP; all fees are included.
This doesn't look like it would really inspire me to make the trip to Texas right now. I may reconsider once the daily breakouts are released.
