Here's the 2022 edition of GV's Localchella featuring Coachella acts performing at smaller venues before, in between, and after the Coachella weekends (or for the more cynical folks, it's how AEG can extract additional revenue from their signed festival artists).
I'm getting to SoCal on the 21st, and there looks like there's some decent choices that night.
In addition to these, GV shows in the SF Bay area are also scheduled and can be accessed in list form from here: https://goldenvoicepresentsapril.com.

Pappy & Harriet's is in the midst of a fight about the management of booking acts. I've heard their attendance is down. I don't know, though, as I haven't attended there yet this year.Comment

The 2023 installment of GPA, a.k.a. Localchella, has been announced for Coachella artists playing venues around L.A. before, in between, and after the festival weekends.
There is also a San Francisco Bay edition again of GPA
